If any part of this website does not work for you, phone us and we will help you directly. Call (204) 963-9884 or email info@group3plumbing.ca. You never have to use this site to get a quote from us.
Our commitment
We want everyone in Winnipeg to be able to use this website — including people who browse with a keyboard instead of a mouse, use a screen reader or magnifier, need larger text, or prefer motion turned down.
We are aiming for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is a target we are working toward, not a claim that we have got there — the site has not been audited by an outside tester yet.
What we have built in
These are in place today, not planned:
- Every page works with a keyboard alone. Press Tab on any page and a “Skip to content” link appears first, so you can jump past the header.
- Links, buttons and form fields show a clear blue outline when they have keyboard focus.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the site turns its animations off and shows content in place instead.
- Photographs that carry information have written descriptions. Purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers so they do not add noise.
- Buttons, menus and photo galleries are labelled for screen readers, including which photo of how many you are on.
- Errors on the quote form are announced to screen readers and written out in words — not signalled by colour alone.
- Pages use ordinary headings and landmarks, so a screen reader can jump between sections.
- Text is real text, so it stays sharp and reflows when you zoom in with your browser.
Where we know we fall short
An honest list is more use to you than a perfect-sounding one:
- The project galleries are photo-heavy. Captions carry the detail, but some descriptions are still shorter than they should be, and we are improving them as we add new work.
- The site has not been tested end to end by someone who uses assistive technology daily. That is the next thing we want to do.
- Some photographs of past jobs came from the crew’s phones and are lower resolution than the rest, which can make them harder to read when zoomed.
Getting the information another way
Manitoba’s accessibility law asks businesses to remove barriers and to provide information in a way that works for the person asking. If anything here is hard to reach or hard to read, we will get it to you another way — over the phone, by email, or printed and dropped off. Just ask. There is no form to fill in and no charge.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on this site does not work for you, we want to know — it is the fastest way it gets fixed. Call (204) 963-9884 or email info@group3plumbing.ca.
Tell us what page you were on and what happened. We will get back to you within five business days, help you with what you were trying to do, and fix the site so the next person does not hit the same thing.
